What makes this mastering tutorial great is the same thing that made her mixing tutorial great: the viewer gets to see an experience master-er work and hear her thoughts and reflections as the mastering proceeds. And unless you’re fully in the industry and learning from an expert, where will you get this opportunity? If you want a list of things to do, this isn’t for you. But if you want to get a sense of the PROCESS — and each of us will need to develop our own mastering process — this is invaluable. I get the process. I can see what I’ll need to master (har, har), what I’ll likely need help with from someone/somewhere, and know how to experiment and problem solve when issues hit. I’d love to see Alice master another track, ideally one very different, so ”we” can watch the process in action with different considerations, problems, solutions, etc. I don’t do EDM, but have enjoyed Alice’s synthesizer, mixing and mastering tutorials. I think I’m up for one of her EDM tutorials. Why? To benefit from Alice sharing her thoughts in context and getting my arms around the PROCESS! Gambatte!
